Joe Skelton

Joe Skelton grew up in the landscape industry. Working in his father’s landscape business, Joe’s early mentors were landscape architects. He went on to study landscape architecture graduating from Ohio State University with a BSLA. Joe worked for firms in Ohio, Illinois and Texas before moving to Atlanta.

As co-founder of Lifescapes, Joe led the design staff, training and developing a team of up to 25 landscape architects. With projects ranging from highly creative residential estates to large scale master planned communities and international resorts, Joe’s experience in landscape architecture and project management is exceptional. He and his team of designers have been consistently recognized for their excellence, garnering countless national awards over the years. His reputation in the industry is evidenced by his selection to an elite group of mentors in the national landscape contractor’s association, the PLANET Trailblazers.

While COO of Lifescapes, Joe developed the business structure, best practices and systems that allowed the company to grow to over $10 million in annual revenue with over 180 employees and multiple branch offices. As a managing partner in Millstone Partners, Joe has an impressive network of contacts throughout the industry enabling the business to assemble the very best team for each project. His understanding of the landscape development process and experience with a wide range of projects and budgets brings a great value to every client.
